You know you want to buy it :)

Well, it's finally here! The book will hopefully be coming out this October, but you can pre-order it now at Barnes and Nobles. It will also be available on Amazon and a few other sites in the next couple of days, but this one got processed first and I wanted to pass it on as soon as it was available.

Thanks again guys! None of this would have been possible without your support.

Thank You

This particular entry is a bit bittersweet for me. I know we’re several weeks early, but I will be ending the blog today. The good news is, it’s for a very exciting reason. Believe it or not, someone has actually decided to turn my little blog into a book, and it will hopefully be coming out later this year. I want to make sure that you will all have a reason to buy it, so I’ll be hanging on to the rest of the chapters and publishing them exclusively in the book. There are some pretty crazy, hilarious things in there, including a grand finale that involves sharks, so you definitely won’t want to miss them. I had hoped to be able to provide a link to a site that would allow you to pre-order the book, but, unfortunately, it’s not quite ready yet. I will, however, post it the second it’s available. Please come back for that; I want to make sure you all know where to find it so you can finish this journey with me.

When I started this project, I had no idea how many exciting, terrifying, enlightening places it would lead me to. I mean, come on, I’ve taken fire-eating lessons for heaven’s sake. I’ve gone alligator wrestling, cricket spitting, and ghost hunting; I’ve lain on a bed of nails, worked in an apiary, and high-fived a tarantula. It’s been a pretty crazy year, and, honestly, I’m not sure I would have had the fortitude to stick with it if it weren’t for you. Having people to be accountable to, knowing that you were coming back to read this every week—it gave me the strength to keep going even when the fear seemed overwhelming and the tasks seemed certifiable. I am so grateful to all of you, the ones I know and the ones I don’t, for encouraging me, inspiring me, and, in all honesty, just for showing up and reading. I can’t tell you how much joy it has brought me to check my statistics every morning and see hundreds of people reading this all over the world. I feel incredibly blessed to have taken this journey with you. Thank you so much for supporting me and pushing me to try things I never thought I could do. This year has taught me so much about who I am and what I can accomplish when I stop allowing myself to be limited by fear and insecurities, and, in a lot of ways, I have you to thank for that.

I really hope that you’ll pick up a copy of the book when it comes out in the fall. I feel like we’ve come so far together, it would be a shame not to take you with me on my last few adventures. I promise, they will be every bit as entertaining as the ones I’ve undertaken so far. If you want to make sure you don’t miss the post with the link, you can email me at AKarlins@gmail.com, and I’ll send it out in a mass email as soon as I have it. Additionally, if you would like a signed copy of the book, I would be happy to do that for you. Just send me an email, and I’ll send you my address. When the book comes out, you can purchase it and send it to me. As long as you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope, I will happily mail you back a personalized, signed copy. Thank you again so much for everything you’ve done this year. It’s been an honor and a privilege to share this experience with you.
